How To Reset The CUDA/PMU

For tray-load iMacs 233Mhz, 266Mhz, 333Mhz

To reset the CUDA, remove the chassis from the iMac. Find the CUDA button and press it once for 1 or 2 seconds then let go. Reassemble the computer and try to start it up. Do not press the button a second time. Only after attempting to power up the iMac can you press it again. Don't go crazy with the CUDA reset. If it doesn't work the first or second time it probably won't work at all.

To reset the PMU, unplug all cables and turn the iMac over onto its screen. Using a coin, open the bottom door. Locate the PMU button and press it once for 1 or 2 seconds then let go. Close the door and wait 10 seconds then plug the iMac back in and try to start it up. Do not press the PMU button a second time. Only after attempting to power up the iMac can you press it again. Don't go crazy with PMU reset. If it doesn't work the first or second time it probably won't work at all.
